The Huawei S620-16X8YZ is a highly equipped Layer 3 switch with stacking capabilities, offering a combination of 16 x 1/2.5/10 G optical SFP+ ports and 8 x 1/2.5/10/25 G optical SFP28 ports. Additionally, it features a console port for management, an Ethernet management port, and a USB port for firmware upgrades or configuration backup transfers.

On the rear side, the switch includes a slot for an expansion module that can add either 8 x SFP+ or 4 x SFP28 ports (software configurable). Heat dissipation is handled by a pair of hot-swappable fans. The device also supports redundant power supplies with hot-swap capability, offering four types of power modules with different input voltages and power ratings, with or without fans. When using two power supplies, mixing fan and fanless models is not supported.
